Detective Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) was struggling to deal with his guilt over not being able to help Voight when he was in prison. Sergeant Hank Voight (Patrick Flueger) was also struggling with his own guilt, as well as with the fact that he is now the new head of Intelligence.

Lieutenant Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) was trying to help Sergeant Matt Casey (Jesse Lee Soffer) deal with his PTSD, while also dealing with his own feelings for Casey’s sister, Gabby Dawson (Monica Raymund).

Detective Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) was trying to adjust to her new position as an undercover cop, while also dealing with her complicated relationship with Sergeant Jay Halstead (Jesse Spencer).

Recap of Chicago P.D. Season 5 Episode 2

In the second episode of season 5 of Chicago P.D., titled “Shouldn’t Have Been Alone”, Marina Teresa Squerciati guest stars as a woman named Olivia, who is the victim of a home invasion. The episode begins with Olivia being awakened in the middle of the night by two men who have broken into her apartment. The men proceed to tie her up and then ransack her apartment, taking whatever they can find of value.

Olivia is left terrified and alone after the men flee, and she is eventually found by police officers who had been called to the scene by her neighbor. When Detective Voight (Jason Beghe) and his team begin investigating the case, they quickly realize that this was not a random act of violence, but rather a targeted attack. They soon discover that Olivia is the ex-wife of a powerful drug lord and that she has been living under an assumed name to protect herself from her ex’s enemies.

While Voight and his team work to track down the men who attacked Olivia, she must come to terms with the fact that her old life has finally caught up with her. Squerciati does an excellent job conveying the fear and vulnerability of her character, and viewers will be rooting for her to make it through this ordeal unscathed.

Recap of Chicago P.D. Season 5 Episode 3

Chicago P.D. season 5 episode 3 was titled “Assassination” and it was a pretty intense hour of television. In the episode, a city councilman was shot and killed while giving a speech and the Intelligence Unit worked tirelessly to figure out who did it.

While they were investigating, they discovered that the councilman had been having an affair with another woman and she was pregnant with his child. This led them to believe that she may have been the one who killed him but they eventually ruled her out as a suspect.

They eventually discovered that the councilman’s brother had hired someone to kill him because he was upset that his brother was going to run for mayor and he didn’t want him to win.

This was a pretty shocking episode and it definitely kept viewers on the edge of their seats. Marina Teresa Squerciati did a great job as always in her role as Det. Erin Lindsay always brings such intensity to her scenes.
